Prayer for deliverance
worries, fears, bondage.
We all have the same issues and the same difficulties in keeping our heads above water. Sometimes we are gripped by remorse and regret and feel guilty. Another time we were hurt and no longer find peace.
Whatever it is that you need to lay down on the cross, go to Jesus.
"The Spirit of the LORD God is upon me, because the LORD has anointed me. He has sent me to bring good news to the needy, to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom to the captives, and freedom to those who are bound should be" (Isa. 61, 1 Elb. 2006)
Oh, Lord.
So many things bother me. You have allowed me to come to you when I am burdened. And I feel like I can no longer carry the burden. You know my heart even when I can't find words, when all I can do is sigh.
Lord, I need your forgiveness. I need your grace and mercy every day, and I need your help. Look where I am! Father, I am full of worry and uncertainty, and I need your breakthrough, your invasion, now.
Please remove from me what weighs me down and give me your truth, your perspective, your love, your wisdom. Show me that I'm not alone. Raise me up, Father, I bring to your cross everything that I don't understand, that I'm ashamed of, that scares me and wants to keep me down. And I ask you to strengthen me, to raise me up again, and to keep away from me like a wall of fire everything that wants to weigh me down. Place my feet on wide space, Father. And let me know that your kingdom is proclaimed over me. In your name, Jesus, wash me clean in your precious blood. Set me free, Lord, from bondage into your freedom. Thank you so, so much for your sacrifice, given so that I can live. Amen.
